One of our favorite day trips is going to Napa or Sonoma for some wine tasting. We were in the barrel cave one afternoon tasting a lovely cabernet out of a barrel when I got the idea to make a tasting table out of a barrel. “What if I put a glass top on top of one of these barrels for our back yard?” And so it starts…

I drove back to Napa a few weeks later to pickup some old used barrels from a man I met on craigslist. Took the barrels home and started playing around. Cutting, and sanding… until I came up with a concept barrel. Then we started playing with the idea of putting in lights, and power to charge a phone. Eventually I landed on the idea to add in a complete bluetooth stereo system so we could complete the backyard sounds, smells, and lighting we had out in Napa tasting at one of our favorite wineries.

The Fire Pit

The fire pit was my wife’s idea as Mother’s Day was approaching and she mentioned that a barrel fire pit would be a great present. Haha! Once again I went back to work thinking about how to concept my barrels into a fire pit to match our table.

I don’t ship these barrels, only hand deliver. So at the moment we are only able to supply the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding cities, but hopefully very soon I’ll figure out a way to ship these safely
